AMANDA SERRA

Writer / Producer / Director

Amanda Serra, who also writes under the name A.L. Trone was a staff writer and assistant editor for seven years at the now defunct literary magazine Encephalon.  Pittsburgh New Works Festival has produced two of Serra’s one-act plays, "Disembodied Heads", and "DeathCrone 2000". Other produced works are:  "Strange Blend" at The Cornerstone Theatre Project in Wheeling, West Virginia, "Joshua Knouse" at the Acting Company in Pittsburgh, and "Joshua" at Stages Theatre in Fullerton, CA.  "As the Stomach Churns - A Cliff Hanger Mystery", "The Fireman’s Daughter", "Exodus From Egypt", and "One Soldier’s Boot" have been produced several times in various venues in the Pittsburgh, PA area.  Staged readings of "The Seventh Son", "Thud" and "Mrs. Gafferty's Christmas Conniption" have been performed in New York City, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles respectively.
