SHIRLEY DO
Key Makeup Artist

Shirley Do, born native Californian, entered into the world of make-up artistry at the early age of 11. As far back as she could remember her childhood consisted of her parents forcing her to watch horror films such as "The Bride of Chucky", "The Grudge", "Jaws", "Halloween", and "A Nightmare on Elm Street". At the time the creatures depicted in these Blockbuster films would haunt her in her sleep. As time passed, she soon discovered her childhood nightmares were purely nothing but the magic of make-up. This newfound information sparked her curiosity and she delved into a world where nothing was what it seemed to be, having not only the power to create beauty but to also bring fiction into reality. Following her dreams, she enrolled into the Master’s Program at Make-up Designory (MUD) in Burbank, CA, where she learned everything from basic corrective beauty makeup, hair styling, maintaining continuity, character development, prosthetic application, sculpting, mold making & etc. Shortly after graduating, she worked on a variety of music videos, photo shoots, short films, documentaries, commercials, weddings, fashion shows, pilots, web series, and feature films. Her cliental includes, Keke Palmer, from “Akeelah and The Bee”, Eric Roberts, from “The Dark Knight”, Quinton Aaron, from “The Blind Side”, and Ms. Asia. As she continues with her onward journey of being an on set make-up artist she is honored to play a part in bringing “Carbon Dating” to life.
